The Supreme Court this evening denied the applications for stay of execution of sentence of death presented to Justice Sonia Sotomayor and by her referred to the court and the petition for a writ of certiorari filed by Stephen Michael West in the capital case West v. Parker, 19-5561. Tennessee plans to execute Stephen Michael West, who was sentenced to death row for the 1986 murders of Wanda and Sheila Romines, by electrocution at 7 p.m. CDT.
