Brace yourselves, Pennsylvania state employees and judges. If you were part of the chain of pornographic and sexually offensive emails that surfaced last year during part of the Jerry Sandusky investigation launched by then-newly-elected Attorney General Kathleen Kane (D), your emails may soon become very public. Why?

As regular readers know, Kane was recently indicted on numerous charges, including perjury and false swearing, obstruction, official oppression and criminal conspiracy. Kane had made a name for herself back then by releasing a series of pornographic emails she had discovered during an investigation of the previous attorney general’s administration’s handling of the Sandusky investigation – an investigation she had criticized ceaselessly during the campaign that culminated in her being becoming the first elected female attorney general in Pennsylvania history. The email release led to one Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice’s resignation and several firings.

But wait – there’s more….pornography that is. Court orders prevented her from releasing all but a handful of the emails, she claims. Today, despite calls from both sides of the political spectrum for Kane to resign, the Attorney General came out fighting. At a press conference, she declared that the criminal charges against her are payback from men for exposing their porn habits at work. She declared that, “I am sure that, at this moment, as I stand under indictment and fighting for everything I believe in and have stood for all my life, these individuals believe that they are on the precipice of their ultimate goal—the burial of this email chain and their involvement in it forever,” as she called for the release of all the questionable emails found on the servers in the Office of Attorney General beyond those that had already been released. Kane claims their release is crucial to her defense.

So if you sent or received offensive, racist, sexist or otherwise objectionable emails to or from the Office of Attorney General, you may want to polish up your resume.
